David B. Silipigno has been honored with the 'In the Spirit of Service Award' by the Arthritis Foundation of NENY on March 7, 2009. The award was given for his outstanding philanthropic services. David Silipigno was chosen as a deserving candidate for the first Spirit of Service Chaired Award by John and Christine Colley who had previously chaired The Arthritis Foundation. They took into consideration the development that has taken place in the Saratoga County due to the efforts of David Silipigno.
This prestigious award is the recognition of his work and appreciation for the heavy contributions he made towards the Arthritis Foundation. David Silipigno has also sponsored many public events in the area, such as the LarkFest, the Northeast Family Chocolate Festival, the Tulip Fest, etc. He also helped in funding the Special Olympics and has been actively involved in refurbishing of the Italian Garden Statues in Congress Park.
David Silipigno is also associated with the Northwoods Hilltop Health System based in Niskayuna and have given holiday gifts to more than 20 pediatric patients. The David B Silipigno Foundation founded by him seven years ago is solely dedicated towards enhancing the lives of the underprivileged children residing in the Saratoga County and nearby areas.
